The garbage dump girl’s life
Srey Mom’s life is changed by
Cambodian Children’s Fund. She was born in the poor family that lived depend on
garbage dump. As a teen, she toiled on the
garbage dump with distant dreams of being a fashion designer. Cambodian

Children’s fund helped her and her family,
and then challenged her to enroll in their
community leadership program. She was an exceptional role model and a true
leader. Since then, she spoke for young women around the world at BBC 100 Women
conference in 2013. At the conference, she met Mrs. Rubana who is a successful
textile manufacturer, took Srey Mom under her wing and invited her to her home
country Bangladesh. She's gone so far since we first found her at the dump and
she's just getting started. Her life is completely changed and she can find her
dream as well.
