Pich Sophea was called by the nickname Sdey. Although born in Sangkat Boeng Tumpun in 1985, but she lived with her parents in Prey Veng Province since she was a child and return to live in Phnom Penh when she was six years old where her house located in Sumbok Chab Village, Sangkat Tonle Basak, Khan Chamka Mon. Sometime Sophea doesn't have enough to eat because of the family is so difficult. Before became a popular signer in the most popular production in Cambodia "Reaksmey Hang Meas", she made her own earning by selling sugarcane juice, bolt egg, and water morning glory on the street and garden. She become a restaurant signer after dropped school in grade 11 in order to earned more financial fully support her family. The family found the light of happiness after Sophea won the song contest at Parkway in the age of 16 and got some money for her mother. Fortunately, Sophea sang for Reaksmey Hang Meas production in 2003 after noted her growing popularity in 2004 Sophea has successfully signed a contract and first on stage performance called "Best of the Best" that captured her audience interest with the song "Better day", "listen to my heart", and so on... In 2009 she toured to perform in Paris, France with her friend in the same career such as Nop Bayarith, Chit Sovan Panha. The concert were successfully and get money more than they expected. Most of the people support her and she always carry out her grateful and merit multiplication her parents including in social network "Facebook". "The most important person in her life are her father and mother" said Sophea on the stage of TV3 channel.
